Good time at gymnastics show!

We drove over to Fargo on Sunday to watch the grandkids put on a show.  It was the last time we could watch as they are moving to Mpls this summer.

The Zookeeper's Wife

We went to a movie today - The Zookeeper’s Wife.  Set in Warsaw, Poland during WWII, it featured a nice well-attended zoo managed by a married couple who took great pride in it, that is until the Nazi bombs started dropping and destroyed it.  The movie became more than one about animals, the zoo became a refuge for Jews escaping the claws of the Nazis who were rounding them up.  Great story, especially if your worldview includes compassion for the victims who had to live in that environment.  I’m still thinking about it.
